How to clean the air fryer quickly and effectively
The air fryer is an appliance that has won many admirers for its versatility and ease of use. In this short guide we suggest when and how to clean it to make it last longer.
When to clean the air fryer?
As previously mentioned, it would be good practice to clean the air fryer after each use: this is especially true for the basket, the grill and the cooking chamber, which are the internal parts in direct contact with the food, and the outside, which can be hit by some oil splashes. Less frequently you can also degrease the resistance, a delicate component. A lot depends on the number of times it is used: the more it is used, the dirtier it gets and the food residues can quickly form encrustations that lead to bad smells, difficulty closing the appliance and therefore to its malfunction. To avoid damaging the fryer and hurting yourself, it is essential to unplug it from the switch and wait until the airfryer has completely cooled down before starting work.

Cleaning the basket and the grill
The basket often consists of a double accessory: a container with a perforated bottom and a handle and a base on which it fits, where excess liquids are collected. When cleaning, remove the basket from the fryer: there are models that allow you to wash it in the dishwasher, on a delicate setting (in this case, read the instructions carefully), otherwise use a soft, non-abrasive sponge soaked in hot water and a few drops of dish soap (do not make foam) or you can use bicarbonate of soda.
If the encrustation is stubborn, then a trick is to get a basin and fill it with water, pouring in a little dish soap. Immerse the basket and leave it to soak for 10 minutes, then remove the residues with the sponge, pass under the jet and dry carefully with a kitchen towel. The same goes for the supplied grill: if it is made of steel, you can also use a suitable spray product, leave it to act for a few minutes and then rinse.
