Miss Kate’s Apple Nut Cake

I grease my tube pan with shortening then flour it lightly. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, then reduce temperature to 300 degrees for next 45 minutes.

Let cake cook 15-20 minutes and invert to cake plate.

Sauce for cake:

1 stick butter

1 cup Brown Sugar

1/4 c canned milk

1 tsp vanilla.

Cook in heavy saucepan until a slow boil. Stir constantly approx 2 minutes and 30seconds. Pour glaze over slightly warm cake.
