Kentucky Butter Cake

Prepare the Cake Batter:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
In a large bowl, beat the granulated sugar and melted butter together until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
Bake the Cake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 55 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
Prepare the Butter Sauce:
In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, cubed butter, and water.
Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved. Do not let it boil.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Glaze the Cake:
Once the cake is completely cooled, use a skewer or fork to poke holes all over the top of the cake.
Pour 1/4 cup of the butter sauce evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
Let the cake stand for a few minutes to absorb the sauce.
Enjoy your Kentucky Butter Cake!
