Oxygenated water or rubber to remove black strips from walls
There are two other great remedies for removing black halos from the walls. Here is what they are:
- Hydrogen peroxide: When it comes to light walls, hydrogen peroxide offers an alternative to baking soda for cleaning. If you have this product at home you should never underestimate its home use benefits. To ensure a thorough cleaning, moisten a microfiber cloth with water, squeeze it and add a small amount of hydrogen peroxide. Let the water rest on the wall for a few hours, then clean the surface with a cloth to remove any marks. Finally, rinse the area thoroughly.
- GommaRubber: Often used for small pencil marks or easily removable imperfections, the rubber is an essential tool for do-it-yourself. Using something other than a standard white tire could cause color transfer and aggravate the problem when trying to remove black stripes from the walls. Apply a slight pressure to the rubber while being rubbed on the black stripes and persistent, will eventually fade. Before we realize it, the wall will be restored to its original state.
