Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 medium sized head of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon AP flour
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pinch cayenne pepper
  • 8 tablespoons butter, 1 stick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Parsley for garnish
PREPARATION
  1. Pat the shrimp dry using paper towel then place in a large bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the flour, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne. Sprinkle this mixture over the dried shrimp and toss until coated evenly.
  3. Add the olive oil to a large skillet and melt the butter on medium heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Place shrimp in the skillet in one even layer without overlapping. Cook each side until shrimp turns pink about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove pan from the heat and drizzle the lemon juice over the top. Top with parsley if desired.
  7. Serve immediately, spooning remaining garlic butter over the top.
