INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 medium sized head of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon AP flour
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pinch cayenne pepper
- 8 tablespoons butter, 1 stick
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Parsley for garnish
PREPARATION
- Pat the shrimp dry using paper towel then place in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne. Sprinkle this mixture over the dried shrimp and toss until coated evenly.
- Add the olive oil to a large skillet and melt the butter on medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Place shrimp in the skillet in one even layer without overlapping. Cook each side until shrimp turns pink about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove pan from the heat and drizzle the lemon juice over the top. Top with parsley if desired.
- Serve immediately, spooning remaining garlic butter over the top.
