Ingredients:
- 1 medium head green cabbage, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 pound egg noodles
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Cooking the Cabbage and Onions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions to the skillet and sauté until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and slightly caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Cooking the Egg Noodles
- While the cabbage and onions are cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the egg noodles to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the cooked noodles and set aside.
