1. Set oven temperature to 350°F. Gather parchment paper and set it aside.
2. Cut the bread loaf in half lengthwise. Lay the sliced sides of the bread halves on top of each other on the prepared baking sheet.
3. Melt the butter and add the garlic salt in a small bowl. Apply the butter mixture on both sides of each slice of bread. Put aside while you whip up the filling for the sloppy joes.
4. Saute the onions and ground beef in a medium nonstick pan over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the meat loses its pink color. Clear the grease. Blend in the water, salt, pepper, mustard, ketchup, and garlic powder.
5. Spoon sloppy joe mixture over both bread slices, then sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella. Brown the top of the dish after 12 to 14 minutes in the oven.
Piece it up and top it with some parsley for presentation.
