Instructions:
Preparing the Dough
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle, approximately 12×16 inches in size.
Assembling the Garbage Bread
- Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Layer the cooked and crumbled bacon, crumbled sausage, shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced bell peppers, sliced black olives, diced red onion, and chopped fresh parsley over the marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the filling.
Rolling and Sealing
- Starting from one of the long sides, carefully roll the dough into a tight log, like a jelly roll.
- Pinch the seams and ends to seal the filling inside the dough.
Baking to Perfection
- Place the rolled Garbage Bread seam side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush the top of the Garbage Bread with the beaten egg to create a golden brown crust.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
Serving and Enjoying
- Remove the Garbage Bread from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Slice the Garbage Bread into thick slices and serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
