Then pour a spoonful of black peppercorns directly into the drum of the washing machine and start the wash cycle, always remembering to favor low temperatures or in any case no more than 30 degrees: your clothes will be as bright as they were just bought!
NB We do not recommend adding it to the washing machine tub as it could clog the pipes!
Coarse salt
Finally, let’s see one last pantry product that can prevent your clothes from fading: salt , which is able to make the colors of your clothes more vivid and bright!
Then add two tablespoons of coarse salt to the drum of your washing machine and start the washing cycle at a low temperature. For a more effective effect, you can also combine the action of vinegar with salt, also adding a cup of white vinegar to the detergent dispenser. Salt will also help absorb bad odors!
Other useful tips to prevent them from fading
So far, we have seen which ingredients to use to revive the color of our clothes and prevent them from fading . However, there are a number of other precautions to follow , so that the colors of your clothes are always as bright as new!
First of all, as mentioned above, we advise you to avoid high temperatures , because very hot water makes the color lose its shine, and therefore to favor a wash with a maximum temperature of 30 degrees , if the clothes are particularly dirty, you can even reach 40 degrees but not more.
Also remember to wash them inside out , so as not to expose the visible part of the garment to excess detergent or friction with other clothes. In addition, it is advisable not to overuse detergents because they tend to penetrate the fibers of the fabric and remove the color, causing discoloration. The ideal is therefore to rinse the clothes only with the suggested ingredients .
Finally, we remind you not to hang the clothes in the hottest hours because the sun could discolor them. Again, it would be better to put them inside out.
Warnings
The remedies proposed are natural and not at all aggressive, however we recommend that you only use them after consulting the washing labels of your clothes.
