Variations & Tips
For a different twist, try using different types of bread such as a baguette or ciabatta. You can also experiment with your favorite cheeses – provolone, cheddar, or Fontina are all delightful choices. If you’re feeling adventurous, add some sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, or black olives as toppings. For a gluten-free option, use a gluten-free baguette. Remember, this recipe is quite forgiving and a fantastic way to use up leftovers, so feel free to get creative!
