CRISPY FRIES

Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Preparing the Potatoes

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Potatoes: Wash the russet potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. Peel the potatoes if desired, or leave the skin on for added texture. Cut the potatoes into evenly sized fries, about 1/4 inch thick.

Coating the Fries

  1. Coat with Cornstarch: Place the cut potatoes in a large bowl and sprinkle them with cornstarch. Toss the potatoes until they are evenly coated with the cornstarch, which helps to create a crispy exterior.
  2. Seasoning: Drizzle olive oil over the coated potatoes and sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss the potatoes again until they are evenly seasoned.
