Recipe: Chicken Cabbage Stir Fry
Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free option)
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 3 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional garnishes: sliced green onions, sesame seeds
Directions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

- Add the shredded cabbage and sliced bell pepper to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and vegetables, stirring to coat evenly.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
