Cherry Bars for a Crowd

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 15x10x1 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
Gradually add flour and salt to the creamed mixture, mixing well.
Spread three-fourths of the batter into the prepared pan. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the batter. Drop the remaining batter by teaspoonfuls over the filling.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
For the glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and enough milk to achieve a drizzling consistency. Drizzle over the cooled bars.
Cut into bars and serve. Enjoy these delicious Cherry Bars, perfect for satisfying a crowd with their sweet, fruity flavor and tender, cake-like texture.
