BBQ HONEY GLAZED CHICKEN

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley or green onions

Directions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and paprika until well combined.
  4. Brush the barbecue honey glaze evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts, reserving some of the glaze for basting.
  5. If grilling: Place the chicken breasts on the preheated grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is cooked through. During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the chicken with the reserved glaze. If baking: Place the chicken breasts on a greased or lined baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is cooked through. During the last few minutes of baking, brush the chicken with the reserved glaze.
  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill or oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish the BBQ Honey Glazed Chicken with chopped fresh parsley or green onions, if desired, and serve hot.
