One of the most difficult and frequent tasks when cleaning the kitchen is effectively removing the dirt that accumulates on our utensils. Especially pans that accumulate much more grease than others. No matter how much you scrub them, they have that annoying tendency to get dirty and greasy quickly, which makes them seem sticky and unpleasant to the touch.
Of course, simply scrubbing with soap and water will never have the cleaning effect we are looking for. To make your life easier, here is a homemade trick that will allow you to thoroughly clean your pots and leave them as good as new. To do this, you will only need 2 products that you probably already have at home.
These are baking soda and vinegar. Mixing them together and following these little tricks can permanently eliminate grease and odors from your pan.
Put the baking soda on the bottom of the pan and cover it completely. Then pour a little vinegar on top. Let the mixture sit for about twenty minutes. Then, take an aluminum sponge and rub the entire surface with circular movements. Be meticulous, it is better to take your time to get a good result.
After scrubbing thoroughly, simply rinse with water. You will see that the bottom of your pan will be shiny and free of grease or dirt.
Once you have cleaned the base of the pan, move to the surface. To clean this area we will also use a common and very cheap product in all homes: salt.
In fact, with salt, you will not only get a clean pan, but you will also strengthen its non-stick properties.
Place the pan on the stove and when it is very hot add three generous tablespoons of salt and wait three minutes. The salt will turn brown. Then remove the pan from the stove and let it cool. When it has cooled completely, remove any residue with a dry cloth.
In addition to cleaning them from time to time, there is another trick to keep your pots in good condition for longer. Simply avoid pouring cold water when they are still hot. This small and simple gesture will make the difference.
