Panera Broccoli Cheese Soup

2 tablespoons of margarine or butter

  • A single carrot that has been grated
  • one stalk of chopped celery
  • 1 minced little bell pepper
  • One sliced onion
  • 2-Tbsps organic wheat flour
  • 1 or 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 cups of simmering chicken stock
  • If desired, add 2 cups of half-and-half, full milk, or whipped cream.
  • Chop three to four cups of broccoli.
  • To taste, use 1–2 cups of cheddar cheese. Add salt and pepper.
